On September 23, leading TV brand Skyworth held its 2021 Autumn Product Launch themed "Closer to Reality" in Beijing. At the event, the brand introduced the latest Smart Mini LED TV, the Q72, which is the world's first ever chip-on-glass active matrix Mini LED TV. With an extraordinary image quality, it sets a new benchmark for high-end Mini LED products.
The Q72 is powered by BOE's active matrix chip-on-glass Mini LED technology, a state-of-the-art backlit technology using the semiconductor manufacturing process to directly bond the minimum LED units to glass substrates. It features 20,736 backlights across 2,304 zones, each with 4,096 gradients, and delivers up to a peak brightness of 1,500 nits, a significantly higher contrast ratio, more precise light control and better image stability compared with the traditional backlit technology. Furthermore, the Q72 is equipped with Active Matrix Addressing that enables instantaneous brightness to reach the set screen brightness promptly, delivering a flicker-free viewing experience with reduced eye strain. In particular, the Q72 adopts BOE's proprietary ADS Pro technology and features a 178-degree viewing angle and an ultra-high color gamut coverage to ensure viewers have a picture-perfect experience. Supported by Skyworth’s self-developed AI Matrix Dimming technology and Super Original Colors technology, the Q72 can present the details in a true-to-life manner and offer customers superior image quality.
